Born in 1962, seating furniture traditionalist, globally active in the office seating furniture sector for 10 years, founded “Löffler” in 1992 in order to bring creative movement into sitting.

His ERGO TOP® technology, developed in co-operation with the ergonomics faculty at Munich's Technical University, revolutionises the market. For the first time ever, an ergonomic solution provides healthy seating by addressing the three aspects of ideal posture, perfect muscle work and optimum spinal disc care. The concept of 'seated movement' was born, created by Löffler.

Werner Löffler started collecting seating furniture during the 1980s. Examining the cultural history of seating, the changing shapes and the use of a variety of materials over the past two centuries significantly influenced the LÖFFLER company, whose current lines highlight furniture's mediatory role between art and function.

As of the autumn of 2010, the impressive results of this collector's passion have been on public display: the Löffler collection opened its doors at the company premises in Reichenschwand, Bavaria.
