Training at the Löffler Collection

The pupils of the metal workshop of the "Werkverbund Werkstatt" in Nuremberg visited the Löffler Collection with their teacher Askan Hertwig.
Curator Helmut Klarner led the group through the collection of more than 700 exhibits. It provides a comprehensive overview of the most diverse materials for producing seating furniture and for processing them.
In particular the steel tube furniture and the exhibits made from curved wood impressed the visitors. Based on the works of the Finnish designer Alvar Aalto, Helmut Klarner explained how a laminated bending area can be used to achieve optimum wood bending.
The metal workshop pupils then viewed the current Löffler product range models in the Löffler showroom and tested the flexible seat and the patented ERGO TOP technology.
Guided tours of the Löffler Collection can be arranged for groups and interested parties.
